Youth Worship Service
Unprecedented times call for unique opportunities! We’ll combine KidsConnect with Middle School and High School Youth to create one Kids &Youth Worship Service this year!   Rehearsals will be outdoors whenever possible. We’ll use a variety of worship skills (reading, acting, singing, dancing, prayer, movement, and more)! The service will be broken down into parts:  OPENING & CLOSING– All kids\  MIDDLE SCHOOL – Reading/Song/Message\  KIDSCONNECT – Reading/Song/Message\ HIGH SCHOOL  – Skit/Song/Reflections
No big group gatherings indoors & your part can be done fully virtual if preferred. Contact Lindsey for details! leliason@fumcnorthville.org

Peer Ministry

Peer Ministry meetings will be held once a month in person during the spring.

MissionQuest: 

Summer 2021:   Plans are underway to offer our youth opportunities to serve our community.  More detailed information will be coming soon on cost, age, Covid-19 safety precautions, etc. We just wanted to give you some tentative dates to place on your calendars while we finalize plans. Tentative: August 18-22 – God’s Country Cooperative Parish – Upper Peninsula Covid-19 safe travel mission trip! (Each family provides their own transportation, limited dorm lodging accommodations are available or arrange other area lodging, and a kitchen is available for the group to provide our own meals. Expected costs and information meeting TBA soon.)

Bottle Returns!
 WE NEED YOU to help!  Contact Tracy to schedule a bottle/can pickup time, and then return whenever it works for your schedule.
Sewing Ministry!  Did you know sewing could be an act of service?  If you are interested in a sewing project to help others, just contact Tracy at tortlieb@fumcnorthville.org to sign up or for more details.
Gardening Sign up to help clean up the church grounds on April 29th or May 1st (let Tracy know), or contact Tracy for a custom date to do a project or ongoing maintenance of The Path!

Family mission opportunity: We hope to be working at the Joy Southfield Farmer’s Market parking lot. It needs cleaning and weeding in preparation for their spring opening. To express interest, get evolving details or sign up with parent, email Al at hav2run@gmail.com

Student Intern applications acceptedIf you are interested in an internship at the church, please contact Tracy for all the information to apply and to learn about these opportunities to gain working experience and build your resume. We often have positions for Ministry, Administration, Building Maintenance, and Music!
Job Opportunities! FYI, we have leads on a summer babysitting job in Northville and a New Hudson food establishment that needs help NOW. Both are through people from our church.  If you are interested in more information, contact Tracy and she can get you the scoop!

FLOCKNOTE!  This is our new HighSchool texting service to replace the previously used “remind” program.  Most students were signed up automatically if we had their number.  If not, simply text 248-982-0513 with student name, grade and “cell number, and Tracy will sign you up!  You can opt out at anytime!

PARENTS!  Youth are required to have a FUMC permission form for ALL/ANY FUMC activities from  Sept 2020 to Sept 2021.
