Our Journey Be Grateful for our Natural World @ The Path

The community is welcome to enjoy our outdoor prayer path. The Path lends itself to be gently used by all. Meditate, pray, journal, read, contemplate, convene, picnic @ The Path. The Path is waiting for you to walk humbly with our Creator God and be grateful for our natural world. Each day something new and different that unfolds. Bring a friend or explore alone: unplug, stroll, wander or sit on a bench and breathe in the quiet. Access The Path from the upper (Sanctuary) parking lot. It is always open dawn to dusk.

Meditation guides, poetry, gardening books and other resource materials are available and located inside the Welcome Center structure (facing uphill). Please use any of the materials and extra chairs while @ The Path then return them on your way out. If you wish to donate a new resource, please add it directly to the bookshelf, or exchange it for another resource that you wish to borrow. There is a small notebook on the bookshelf if you feel inspired to write a thought or a poem to be shared with others who come to The Path after you.

Donations

Donations are welcome, not required. Contributions are used for The Path Preservation Fund. Contribution envelopes are provided in the Welcome Center. Checks may be written to FUMC-Northville (designate “The Path” in the memo line). Do not leave contributions in the welcome center. You may add them to the offering plate on Sundays, drop them off in the church office, or mail your contribution to the church:

Volunteer Schedule

Gardener work days are typically on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 9 AM to noon May through September. Watch the church calendar for other special postings. Please join a small group of us or make your own schedule, even an hour will do! We water, weed, trim and prune perennials, plant and neaten edges. Share stories with nature nurturers as we tend the gardens together. For more information, to donate plant material, and to be included on an email update list, send an email to The.Path.FUMC@gmail.com.
