Midweek Connect Thank You Song

At Midweek Connect, we’ve been thinking about thankfulness with our families. We’ve been singing the song below during our song and dance time. Use it this Thanksgiving with your children, along with the short devotion below, to give thanks to God!

 

Famiy Thanksgiving Devotion

• Read Psalm 118:1
  • Give thanks to the Lord because he is good, because his faithful love endures forever.
• Wonder about the scripture together:
  • I wonder who you love.
  • I wonder who loves you.
  • I wonder how God shows God’s love to people.
  • I wonder how we can show God’s love to others.
  • I wonder if you can think of one way you can show gratitude to someone today.
• Prayer:
  • Dear God, thank you for being good and for loving us. Help us be thankful and to show others your love through our words and action. (Insert family celebrations and requests here if desired.) Amen.

 

Parent’s Night Out/Kids’ Movie Night

Drop the kids off for a night of dinner, games, and movie watching, then go enjoy some time together. Kids will enjoy a pizza and breadstick dinner, followed by a baking activity and a viewing of “The Star”. Registration link coming soon.

 

Children’s Christmas Choir

We’re excited to prepare our K-5th graders to sing in this year’s Advent Songfest on December 11th during our 10:00am Worship Service. You can find information about music and rehearsal schedule here.

 

Night of 1000 Blessings

Help us show our appreciation to the heroes in our community and help our neighbors in need. Just us for our Midweek All-Church Dinner then stay to help create blessing bags for Civic Concern, Hospitality Week, and members of the community who work Christmas Eve. Come enjoy some fellowship while participating in our holiday outreach ministry. Please help by donating some of the items we will need for the Blessing Bags. Sign-up for donations here. Questions?
