The youth of our church ARE amazing AMBASSADORS for CHRIST through their
Faith, Service and Witness of Word and Music.
Our youth are involved in so many different ways during their high school years. Some of these areas are:
· Worship
· Sunday School – attending and helping to teach
· Participation in Youth Group – Sunday Night Live
· Involvement in Missions and Service – ASP, Motown Mission and Homeless Hospitality, etc.
· Participation in the Music Ministry – worship and musicals
· Peer Ministry
· Vacation Bible School – teachers and leaders
So now it’s our turn, as a church, to thank our
wonderful seniors through the gift of scholarships!
Every senior who applies will receive one.
FUMC started gifting out scholarships in the mid 1980’s. It was initially endowed by Don and Barb Kimery and continued through ongoing contributions from members. The current value of a FUMC scholarship is set a $250.
How to apply for Scholarship
The Scholarship Committee sends out an invitation letter and application to graduating seniors who are members of Northville FUMC in the spring. Applications are also available to graduating members through the church office, 248-349-1144. Scholarships are awarded to any qualifying seniors that apply.
Our Request for Scholarship Funding Support
Each year near graduation, we ask for you to PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER making a donation to our scholarship fund so we can continue this awesome tradition.
It is such a blessing to be able to do this for our deserving young men and women.
If you have a desire to help, you may make your donations in honor or in memory of someone special, or simply add a check to your church offering. Checks may be made payable to FUMC. In the memo section of the check please indicate: Scholarship Fund and the name(s) of the individual(s) if it is to be in honor or memory of someone.
Thank You!
