MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE
Thursday, April 14, 7:00pm, Sanctuary

The first of the three days of solemn remembrance of the events leading up to and following the crucifixion of Jesus. The name “Maundy Thursday” comes from the Latin word “mandatum” which means commandment. On this day, we recall the Last Supper as we remember Jesus’ words, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you.” Our service will include communion and stripping the altar as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s humiliation by the soldiers.
