The Mystery & Miracle of Christ’s Birth!
Make a joyful song to the Lord! Enjoy this exploration of the lesser know texts. The Songfest opens with one of the Canticles found in Luke, the Magnificat proclaimed by Mary. After that, the program alternates between Gustav Holst’s setting of the hymn Let All Mortals Flesh Keep Silence, and musical selections that reflect the meaning of the text. At the close of our Songfest, we will come full circle with a doxological praise to God in Nunc Dimittis.
